Earlier this month, our team joined local architects and site engineers for a full-day walk across the pilot area. The goal: refine the final layout of our first villas and rethink some of the paths based on the natural shape of the land.

We started at sunrise.

There’s something about Sumba in the early morning. The mist rolls low across the hills. Horses wander freely nearby. One of the architects, who has built resorts across Southeast Asia, paused and said:

“I’ve never seen a place with this energy. This isn’t just a site — it’s a sanctuary.”

We left that day dusty, sweaty… and recharged with purpose.

This month, Anna — one of our early investors from Germany — came to visit the site with her partner.

She stood in the middle of the glamping pilot units, barefoot, looking toward the sea.

Her words?
